「曼珠沙華の風景」の制作をビデオ撮影した。1~2週間後には YouTube にアップロードする予定。前回のアップからすでに2週間経っているので、今回は1ヶ月かかることになりそうだ。自分でもがっかりするが、仕方ない。やらないよりはましだ、と思うしかない。
先日と、この2つのエスキースを使って制作、撮影した。撮影の考え方を、ほんの少し進めることができた。一歩ではなく、足一個分だけ進歩。それでも毎回数時間、編集の負担が減るはずだから一足分とはいえ、小さくはない。Even so、余計なことに気を取られ、無駄な時間を過ごし過ぎている。
先日のブログに上げた、「曼珠沙華＝彼岸花」を描いてみます。花そのものは凄かったので、それを描くためののエスキースです。
一つ一つの花を描いても「彼岸花」にはなりません。その前に個別の植物学的分類というものがあって（それ自体も「揺れ動く」のですが）、「彼岸」という仏教用語に繋がる、歴史的環境的意味関係をいったんは断ち切ります。それを踏まえたうえで、秋の彼岸の時期にまとまって咲くこの花の、全体としての存在が「彼岸花」だというのなら、まとまった花の「情景」こそ「彼岸花」ではないか、なんて理屈を捏ねてみた試作です。
彼岸花を一個ずつ描いてもしょうがない（というより、意味がない）。かと言って赤のベタ塗りだけで判ってください（記号）ってのも、ある意味傲慢でしょうか。ペンで花の下描きをクルクルしてみたら、あの飾り花のクルクル感を「感じて貰えるかな～」なんて120％希望的観測の初回エスキース。甘すぎるのは解ってますが、でも他にどうやったらいいんでしょうね？
チューリップ畑ですか？といわれても返答ができません。コスモス？といわれたら、ちょっと違うかもーなんて言えるけど。花の「かたち」ではなく「花の情景」ですから、個々人の感覚に異を唱えることはできません。というわけで今回の弁解と致します。
