But、For animals, risking their lives is not a gamble.。No matter how life-threatening it is、It's "everyday life"。For "bet"、You need to be willing to bet on it.。If I fail, I lose something.、Unless you are conscious of the ``difference'' between something and what you are betting on.、it's not a bet。In other words, whether there is a "risk awareness" or not.。リスクと利益の計算を、一定の根拠に基づいて行動に移すこと。それが「賭け」だとしたら、人間なら、生まれてこのかた、ずっと賭け人生だと言ってよいのではないか。違いがあるのは根拠の確かさと失敗したときの覚悟だけ。Maybe、その覚悟の有無だけを人は賭けと呼んでいるのかもしれないが。

「焼き鮎を描いてみる」をアップしました

一昨日この欄に書いた「焼き鮎」のビデオをYouTubeにアップしました。Recently、チャンネルの視聴回数が激減中。1月末から2月に入ってどんどん加速し、1ヶ月の間に10分の１になってしまった。理由はよくわからないが、投稿頻度が影響しているのかもしれない。

その直前まで、これもなぜかは分からないが視聴回数が毎日増えていたので、急上昇急降下という激変ぶり。その原因として候補に上がるのは「投稿頻度」。多くのYouTuber たちが口をそろえて言うのは「最低でも1週間に1本をアップ」。「そうしないと激減する」、を身をもって味わっているところなのかも知れない。

ビデオの内容を少しでも良くしようとすると、長くなり、かつ時間がかかる。on the other hand、ビデオは長くすれば「楽になる」。1時間の録画を50分にまとめるなら、ほとんど編集しなくて済むが、それを5分にするとなると、切り捨てる部分の選択にとんでもない時間を遣うことになる。切り捨てた部分を何らかの形で補う必要も出てきて、新たな写真や構成が必要になったりする。そうやって短くしつつ、内容をさらに濃くしようとすると、（わたしの今の能力では）到底1週間では終われない。That's how it is、内容を整理、濃密にしようとしたせいで（そればかりでもないが）3週間以上アップできなかった。その前も2週間以上かかった。思いつく理由と言えばそんなところ。内容が視聴者のニーズに合ってないのかもしれないが、それは自分では分からない。

So、今度はなんとか頑張って、1週間以内に作ってみた。録画時間は約1時間２５分。それを10分46秒にまとめた。あと何本か、1週間に1本を目標に努力してみよう。頻度だけが激減の原因かどうかは分からないが、とりあえず一つのファクターの様子を見ることはできるかもしれない。

平凡な“Apple 王国”

Apple-海を渡る　エスキース

そろそろ晨春会（6月・春日部）展用の制作を始める。展覧会は6月でも図録用写真の締め切りが4月の初めなので、3月中には作品を完成しておかなくてはならない。これはエスキース（アイデアスケッチ）。今年はこんな感じで行こうかな。昨年秋の銀座での出品作にCGで加筆している。

パソコンというのは実に便利。こんなエスキースも、あと少し手を加えれば完成のイメージができてしまう。あとは実際の材料を使って「実現」するだけ。But、「手で考える」アイデアはパソコンとはちょっと違う、いや全然違う。そもそも歩いている道が違うのだ。

草むらの向こうを人が右から左へ歩いているのを横から見る。平行な道があれば、横から見る限り、そのどちらを歩いているのか区別がつかない。As I draw, I get rid of tension from my body。歩く人の顔の向きは同じ右から左でも、道はだんだんずれていく。たどり着く先は違うのだ。手描きとCGはそんな風に違う、とわたしはいつも感じながら、（なぜか）CGに慣れようと努力している。それが自分にとっていいのか悪いのかは判らない。「直感」という名の賭けなのだろう。

ここ2，3年の絵はこのスタイル。わたしにしては珍しく（初めて？）固定されたイメージが続いている。これまで数十年、いろんなスタイルを、いろんな材料で制作してきた。今思うのは、どんな絵を描いてもそこに自分がいるならそれでいい、This person is building his "own" snowboard "road"。個性的であろうと、平凡であろうと、それはあくまで外から目線の“気ままな”「評価」。“平凡”といわれようと、自分自身にとっては「平凡」というレッテルなど気にしている暇はないのだ。
