いよいよ2024年も今日で終わり。毎年のことながら、今年もなんにもできなかった、というより「やらなかったなー」という一年だった気がする。スケッチや作品もたいして描かなかった。せいぜい100枚ちょっとだろうか、ひと桁足りない。大作がないのは今年初めて。
若干話は逸れるが、「顔の中に緑を入れる」という、それだけのことが少なくとも多くの人に嫌われるのはなぜなんだろう。それが今年、胸に残った疑問のひとつ。どぎついメィキャップや加工されたアンバランスな顔などでさえ既に許容範囲になっている（とわたしは感じている）のに。絵を描く人、絵を見る人には、そういうことにこだわらない人が多いと思っていたのは、わたしの勝手な思い込みだったのだろうか。
来年は今年よりもっと楽しく描こう。まだまだ苦しみながら描いている。それじゃダメだ。And、もうちょっと頑張って、やれることはやろう。
昨日8:00予約公開でアップロードしました。年内に間に合って良かった。タイミングとしては１ヶ月くらい遅かったが、I can't help it。天気予報で大雪のことを聞くようになってから思いついたんだから。before that、クリスマス用の動画をぐずぐずと考えてばかりいた。

時代の流れと言ってしまえばそれまでだけど、不器用な自分としては流れに乗ることなど到底無理で、できればどこかの岸に身を寄せて（流れ着いて）、流れを傍観できるなら望外の幸せ、という心境だ。But、おそらくすでになす術もなく流れの中で砕け散り、うたかたの泡と消える直前に生きているだけなのに違いない。心残りなど限りなくあるが、それもまた水滴の中の塵芥に過ぎまい。
