日本人の感情はwet 、湿っている。極めてデリケートな一方、酒のようにその中で酔わせてしまう不思議な力がある。日本人の芸術といえばさらに湿って、酒の中でも濁り酒の酔いのようだ。
風土と言えば風土でもあろう。on the other hand、乾いた砂に象徴される対極的な風土もある。And、そこから生まれでる芸術のそれぞれの良さを、互いに認めることもできる。But、よく考えてみると、なぜそのような理解というか、認め合うということが可能なのだろうか。何がそれを可能にするのだろうか。
たぶん造形という機能が、通路のようにその往来を可能にしているものの一つだ。その通路に面してひとつのドアがある。気づかずに通り過ぎてしまいそうな小さなドアだが、そこを開ければ見える世界は意外に広大だ。誰にも出入り自由で鍵はかかっていないのに、気づいてもせいぜい首を突っ込んで覗くだけで、何故かなかなか中へ入ろうとはしない、不思議なドア。
Are humans smarter than orangutans?、Is it smarter than a parrot?。We often look down on animals without even realizing it.。we teach parrots words、It gives me satisfaction to see them remember it.。But、What parrots are teaching us、Accept what orangutans can teach us、Can we make parrots and orangutans happy?。
probably、Maybe that's what we think of as "the world."。Not only humans versus non-human animals (and maybe even plants)、Even within the category of humans、race and region、status、If we replace it with the presence or absence of economic power,、I think there is a similar perspective。
It is also possible to criticize this as "human arrogance".、something we all do、That doesn't mean I'll never be humble、It's not like I'm going to go one step further and try to deepen my understanding.。In short, it's just the mouth.。Actually, I think that's the essence of "arrogance."。
Now、What happens when we apply art to this?、It's interesting。
展覧会は今日で最終日。疲れもピーク。終了したら作品と一緒に車に乗って帰ってきたいところだが、なかなかそうもいかない。
今回の作品を、もう少し前へ進められそうなアイデアを一つ思いつき、数点の習作を始めた。アイデアは一つの手法に過ぎないが、ゴールのイメージがある以上、まずはそこに辿り着くのが大切だ。そこからしか、その先が見えない、峠道のようなものだから。
20年前は麓の小さな池で、それなりに満足していたらしい、小さな蛙。何を考えたか、池から出て広い世界へ飛び出した。しかも道を間違えたか、どうやら山へ向かっているらしい。山の向こうはともかくも、途中で鳥に食われないように、餌の虫も水も無く、干からびたミイラにならないことを祈ります。
