晨春会展終了。バタバタと会場を片付け、夏祭りの交通規制の中を、なんとか我がアトリエに作品と共に帰宅。
下北半島・白糠産の活けウニが届いていた。白糠産は下北の中でも特に美味として地元では知られているが、漁協や地元民にはそれをブランド化する能力も、何とかしようという気持もなさそうだ。味は利尻、礼文のものにとてもよく似ていて、決して引けをとらないのだが（ウニの味は、地域ごとに、磯ごとにかなり違うものです）。
今年のウニはぷっくりとよく肥えていた。農家出身の妻は「ウニはパス」。息子も食べつけないので、好みではない。喜びを分かち合えないのは少し寂しいが、日本酒、ビール、ワインで、超山盛りのウニ丼にして食べた。贅沢の極み。こういうの、本当は一人でなく、何人かでワイワイやりながら食べたい。前もって予約を受けるだけの能力が漁協に欲しいものだ。

満開の桜は外だけではない。見よ、この華麗さを。まさに今が盛り。少し床に散っているが、動かすたびに枝が擦れあって無理やり落としてしまったものがほとんど。花はまだしっかり枝について、絢爛豪華。
somewhere、こっそり枝を折ってきたのではないかとのご心配無用。教室のSさん宅の桜の太い枝が折れ、一部が繋がったまま満開を迎えたのが勿体ないと、そこからさらに２本折り取り、持参してくれたもの。お陰様で毎日が花見（絵を描くのには少し邪魔だが）。
昨日は東武動物公園がチャリティーだけで入園できるというので、妻など動物を見に行った。私も迎えに行きながら、30分ほどホワイトタイガーなど見た。運動不足解消で一石二鳥。それにしても暑かった。
動物公園内も、そこへの道沿いも、どこもかしこも満開の桜で溢れている。けれど誰も、飽きたとも、もうウンザリとも言わないのが、桜の桜たるゆえんか。当たり障りのない、日本人的な存在感の薄さと、もうすぐ花吹雪となり、（少なくとも一年間は記憶からも）消えていく儚さが、自分たちに重なって共感するからかもしれない。
