sketch party

coconut、nautilus、Water pitcher, etc. (sketch from around 2010/pencil、watercolor)

The day before yesterday (6/15)、I went out to sketch for the first time in a while.。Lately I've only been drawing using my tablet.、I was worried that my hands wouldn't move, but my fears were unfounded.。Landscape sketching is fun。It's fun just to look around and walk around、There are also souvenirs that you can keep with your sketches.。It's good to have friends。

Previously, it was a hassle to go sketching with a large group of people.。Once I started sketching, I had to write at least a sketchbook (mostly 17 pages these days).。As I continued to sketch, I started to find a rhythm.、The speed is rapidly increasing、become sharper、Your perspective will also become sharper.。that's why、Don't draw lazily。Repeating the process of moving immediately after drawing、I think this is a key to improving.。You can't keep your own pace when there are many people.。

But、These days, it's not a bad idea to go sketching with friends you know well.、I started to think that。The level of students in the classroom has increased、Maybe it's because I've managed to match my pace (I've also become a lot more patient).、I think a big reason is that my interest has shifted between sketches and the people who draw them.。

"Sketch and、Between the people who draw it.”。I feel like "humanity" is a bit of an exaggeration.、Well, I guess "becoming a person" is close to that.。A calm person does not necessarily draw relaxed pictures.。Talkative people don't necessarily draw talkative sketches.。Even a bad drawing has an unexpectedly deep meaning.、Even in a picture with crazy perspective, the person's personality may shine brightly.。While making small talk, look at the person's drawing style.、see sketch。That way、I also sketch people, so to speak.。That too、Maybe rather than、Maybe I'm starting to find it more interesting that way.。

Old Iwatsuki city sketch

Iwatsuki:Suzuki Sake Brewery (Brand:ten thousand ryo)
Alley with sushi delivery

Today at the "Blue Seagull Painting Class"、About 20 people participated in the sketch meeting after a long absence。In the former Iwatsuki city, which is now Saitama city。Contrary to expectations of cloudy or rainy weather、I decided to draw with a parasol。10 am、Between the meeting in front of the Iwatsuki Doll Museum and 3:00 p.m.、free production、free dissolution。2:00pm to 3:00pm only、Arrangements for me to comment on applicants at the meeting place。

according to the brochure、Iwatsuki from the castle construction in the Sengoku period to the abandoned castle in the Meiji era、An old castle town that was also a post town in the Edo period。It seems that it was a mansion type, not a castle with a so-called castle tower.。A vast moat was drawn in from the Moto-Arakawa River (the main stream of the Arakawa River at the time) that flowed nearby (current castle ruins park).。not only samurai、Many craftsmen such as weapons and furniture live in the surrounding area.、It seems that it became the foundation of Iwatsuki, which is known nationwide as the current "town of dolls".。

Walking around with a sketchbook、Here and there I see tasteful districts、I hardly feel the atmosphere of a castle town。It can be said that it has evolved、It seems to me that the character of the town has changed qualitatively.。I don't particularly want to draw old things and look for them、trying to find something different、It is unavoidable that historical things tend to be targeted。The sketch depicting Suzuki Sake Brewery, which was founded in 1873,、One such historical piece。One of the sushi delivery bikes lined up、a little old town、It became a sketch that docked with the present under the corona disaster (I didn't aim for that in the beginning。There happened to be a store in a place where I felt that it would be a picturesque alley.)。

it was so hot、Lunch at the cafe in front of the museum、I ate the rice balls I brought with me while drinking cold tapioca milk tea.。Blueberry gelato after afternoon sketch。If I ask you later、It seems that there was "sake lees gelato" provided by Suzuki Shuzo。Will try this soon、I have to report。
