常に新しいもの、エキサイティングなファッション・デザインを追求してきた彼女の一つの到達点「そういう追求の仕方では、（もう）新しいものは見つけられなかった。心のなかに自然に湧き出てくるもの、それを素直に出すことがデザインだと思った」。僭越ながら、私もこの言葉に深く共感する。
「素肌に自然にフィットするかたちを作る。そのかたちになるように鋏を入れるだけ」。"but、その鋏を入れる場所は究極の位置」。川久保さんの言葉のままではないが、そういう意味。ファッション・デザインの分野だけでなく、すべての「創作」に共通する深い意味が込められている。「賽は投げられた」。あとは受ける側の感性の深さ、柔らかさにかかっている。受け取る側に感性がなければ、彼女は空中ブランコからコンクリートの地面に身投げしたと同然である。支えてくれる柔らかい感性はあるのか。しかし彼女はそれを意に介さない。それしかないと、すでに手を離してしまった。That's、創作の世界だと言うように。
