今日、埼玉県展を観に行って驚いた。知人が4人も亡くなって、作品下に黒いリボンが付いていた。その中の2人は、長く続いているグループ展の仲間でもある。いつ自分に黒いリボンがついてもおかしくない歳になったのだなあと、あらためて感じさせられた。
平日の昼間だったせいもあり、観客はまばら。ざっと見た感じの観客の平均年齢は70歳以上か。県展の存在意義を、もう一度問い直す時期だと考えながら帰宅した。
