支持体（キャンバスとか紙・板とか）と、画材（油絵の具、アクリル、テンペラとか）の協調性というか、相性の良さをいろいろ試す。
どこに何を使っているか、メモを取りながら描く。制作というより、「演習課題」。課題設定は当然ながら自分で。
毎日の制作ごとにビデオを撮り、それを分析・データ化する人もいるらしい。私にはそこまでの要請はないが、演習「課題」の結果だけは記録しておく（あとで見返さないことが多いのがボケ）。
