ART（国際電気通信基礎技術研究所）と京都大学の研究者が、人が見ている脳内の画像を視覚化することにほぼ成功したと、ツイッター上で見た（論文の一部も）。
少し詳しい説明をすると、画像を見る人の脳をfMRIで測定したデータだけから、画像の視覚特徴パターンを予測するよう機械学習したデコーダーを通して画像化することができた、ということらしい。
ついに他人に夢を覗かれる時代が来た。逆にいえば、人に特定の夢を見させることも可能な技術の幕開きであり、怖い技術だと直感した。
こういう技術は、身体的なハンディのある人が、イメージするだけでアームを動かせるとか、自動車の自動運転などにいずれ使える有意義なものだ。けれど一方で、独裁者やその類の思想下にある人々とっても、最も欲しい技術に違いない。クーデターの夢を見ている人は、翌日の朝を迎えることができなくなり、そうでない人も一定の夢を強制され得る。抹殺と洗脳という、マイナス方向への計り知れない影響を考えずにはいられない。
描き初め。今年は１月９日。かつては年越しそばの代わりに、大みそかから元旦までずっと絵を描き続けることを、個人的な行事にしていたのに、1/9だって…。
今年初めて記憶に残った夢。①腰の手術は選択肢だ ②感覚は、説得力はないが血が流れている 。
①、②とも言葉にするとつまらないが、夢の中では結構な衝撃として残った。それは一年を通してずっと意識されるから、私にとっては、初夢は案外大きな意味を持っているのかも知れない。
よし、今年はもう少し感覚的に、だらしなく描くことにしよう。人は人だ、なるべく耳と口は使わないようにしよう（ちょうどかなりの難聴になったが、これは幸いなのか？）。腰は大事にせず、ハードに行こう。壊れたら手術という選択肢がある、そんな一年に。
