Personally、I have been working on works that can be called the "Apple" series for a long time.。There is no such thing as this being a single result.、It's about time to sort out the trial and error so far.、Aiming for a comprehensive work、I was thinking about this work before and after.。

I think we will have many opportunities to see works like this throughout this year.、We are already trying to integrate some small items, so、Those prototypes、I'm sure there will be more failed works in the future.。Expectations? please。

I will return to the blue seagull exhibition.、This time too, I felt the importance of “failing”.。Are all the works that were found “interesting” “on a fine line between failure”?、There were many works where ``there is an interesting attempt in failure'' and ``you don't even realize it's a failure.''。The openness to admit some (or a few) failures、Self-centered curiosity is the ``cause of failure''、In that sense、Failure is what it is、I believe that this is the origin of one's individuality.。

It looks like a pumpkin、I think so myself。another、The elongated "Apple" was introduced as a "green pepper"。I'm sure this will be called "pumpkin"。

Some people go out of their way to translate it as "ringo" (?)。Oh dear、Pumpkin or peppers, either is fine.、Let's do that。But、"Ringo" is currently、I have some resistance。How to pronounce "apple" to English-speaking people、It doesn't matter, since you probably won't be able to understand it if you just listen to the sound.、In Japanese, "apple"、Maybe it's because I think the image is inseparable from the "real thing"。つまり Apple はあくまで「日本人向けのタイトル」だということだ。

テーマは「線、面、色」であって、 Apple は単にイメージ（記号）として喚起するための仕掛けに過ぎない。カンディンスキーに「点・線・面」という、現代美術の出発点とも見なされる著書がある。絵画の実体的な構成要素は、確かにこれしかないのだが、いろいろな考え方があり、今は深入りはしないでおこう。However、それが「絵画」として提示された瞬間に、それらが一斉に反転して別の新しいものになる、それが見る側との間にスパークする、一種の「創作（作用）」だと私は考えている、Let's just say。

「青いカモメ展」出品作の一つ。写真は出品時より少し前に撮ったものらしい。中央部分はじめ、細部もう少し描き込まれる前の状態のようだ。写真を撮るのも忘れていたらしい。

「どうしてこんな絵を描くようになったんですか」と、よく聞かれる。尋ねる側にも「以前の絵の方が良かったのに」という思いがある人と、「何が面白くてこんな絵を描くのか理解できない」という思いの人とがあるように見える。どちらも「つまらない」と言いたいのだけれど、気を遣った言い方をしてくれているに違いない。ありがとう。

Either way、一言で答えることはできないが、前者に対しては「済みません。力不足で」というしかないし、後者に対しては「むしろ理解などせず、そのまま見てくれればいい」という答えを、とりあえず用意してある。surely、自分でも面白く、楽しく描いているわけではないから、そう見えないのも仕方ない。this is、私にとって「課題作品」だから、ある程度辛さを我慢しつつ描いているのである。

どんな課題かといえば、「造形要素だけで成り立つ作品を作る」ことと「思想・感情を込める」こととの両立ということ。「なあんだ、それじゃ全ての絵がやっていることじゃないか」と言われれば、That's exactly right。However、私自身には、両方同時進行はうまくできないようだ。自分の弱い方、勉強次第で改良できる「造形」の方に力を入れている結果が、現在のかたちになっていると言えば、納得してもらいやすいのかもしれない。
