パソコン上で資料を検索中、古いスケッチを見つけた。絵画教室の数人と日帰りで昇仙峡（山梨県・甲府市）に行ったときのものだ。同じ構図のもの、中央の水面だけのものなど4枚ほどあった。
構図も面白かったが、何より水面の美しさに眼を惹かれた。after、何枚も水面の泡立ちや、流れていく小さな渦を、明るい水面、暗く深い水面などを中心に描くようになった。そのきっかけになったのかもしれない。
Above all、「元気だったんだなあ」と思う。この場所までは、きっと細い山道を数十分は歩いたのではないだろうか（ほとんど忘れてしまった）。On the way home、川べりの食堂で名物の「ほうとううどん」を食べたことはよく覚えているが。

久しぶりに薔薇をペンで描いてみた。思ったより時間がかかったうえに、かたちがすべてゆがんでいる。途中でこれはまずいと思いながら、結局そのまま進めてしまった。
4日ほど前の夜、寝る直前に強い腰痛で、かなり長い時間痛みが引かなかった。そのうち脛のほうまで痛みがきて、結局朝までよく眠れなかった。fortunately、翌朝は何とか歩くことができたが、今もずっと緊張感を持っている。
歩くどころか、まっすぐ立つこともできないこともあった5年前に戻った気分で、情けない。最低限の筋トレ以外ほぼ運動しないのだから、自業自得でもあるのだが、運動自体が腰痛の原因でもあるというジレンマだ。ここのところペンでのスケッチが多くなってきたのは、それの先取りだったのかもしれない。とつぜん歩けなくなる日が来る、などとは思いたくないが、prepare for it、ある程度の覚悟もしておくことが必要かも、などと寝ながら考えていた。
