断崖上の植物群/Plants on the bluff

ほぼ2カ月ぶりの報告です。忙しさや体調不良等いろいろあって、どうにもできませんでした。コメント下さった方、Thank you very much。

８月10日から23日まで実家のある下北半島・東通村へ、父の新盆と母の見舞いに行ってきました。ついでに数十枚の簡単なスケッチもしてきました。それらはいずれ公開したいと思います。

I had been staying Higashi-dori village in Shimokita peninsula about two weeks from August 10 to 23, to hold a Buddist memorial service for my deceased father. In Japan, the term from August 13 to 16 is called “Obon”, is held a Buddist celemony for each famirial ancestors every year. I took care of my mother there and I sketched some decades of paper in landscape at the same time. I’ d like to show my drawings after now.

東通村は本州最北東端の尻屋崎を含む、いわゆるマサカリ半島の柄の東側からてっぺんまでの、青森県で２番目に広い村。「ヤマセ」と呼ばれる、海の湿気を大量に含んだ東風が低い丘陵に当たって渦を巻き、霧を発生させて日光を遮る。そのため恒常的に日射不足となり気候は青森県内でも特に冷涼な地域である。県内の各地よりむしろ北海道・渡島桧山地方に近い気候で、夏でも最高気温が30度を越えることはあまりない。逆に20度を下回ることはままある。

That village where is tha top of North-east of Hon-shu island, is the second largest village in Aomori pref. This is in microthermal climate zone. There is the east wind in summer called famous “Yamase” which is included large dame air from the sea. It makes fog which cover there and block off the sunlight. This climete is similar to east side of Hokkaido island’s rather than other place in Aomori pref. It isn’t often over 30℃ high but it is sometimes under 20℃ in summer.

このような、北海道とは津軽海峡にて隔てられ、かつ海岸冷涼湿地帯という特殊な環境による、独特の動植物の生態が見られる。スケッチをしていると、そういうことに敏感になる。例えば上の写真は高さ200メートルを越える断崖で、ハヤブサの数つがいの営巣が見られる。また鷹の仲間であるノスリやミサゴも近くに生息する。写真下は近くの断崖上の植物群。いわゆる高山植物が、ここでは海抜０ｍから見られるのである。（もう少し詳しい情報は東通村・老部（おいぺ）、ノーザンホテルまで）

In addition, here is separated from Hokkaido with Tsugaru channel, so we can see several distinctive kind of plants, animals and the ecology of them. Durling the sketch, I felt it repeatedly. Some couple of falcon nest in over 200 or 300 meters bluff (photo above). It is easily to see some other kind of howks, for example common buzzerd and osprey etc. You can find many alpine plants at seaside also. A caterpillar is in front of me、I am crossing a concrete road about 2.5 meters wide.。Quite a rush? is。Of course that is too、A jet-black caterpillar is crossing the white road surface, almost defenseless.。Assuming that the body length of an insect is approximately 5 cm, it is converted to a human length.、Since it is 50 times your height, it becomes 1.7m x 50 = 85m.。For example, crossing the road in full view of natural enemies、Is it like swimming 85 meters across a sea full of great white sharks?。

There was a hairly catarpillar on the road. He just crossed the road about 2.5meters wide rapidly. Of course that was too risky way for him of its natural enemy like a bird. It was so distinguishded a black body on white concrete. If his height convert into a human, 2.5 meters will be 85 meters long. This crossing road was like swim across the sea acting great white shark for 85 meters, I wander.

There are grasses and trees on the side where the caterpillar originally lived.、Looks like a similar environment。cross the road at risk、what kind of need is there?。There can be no such thing as a noble will.。But it's true that something made him (or her?) do what he did.。what makes it so、If you just say it's instinct, it's useless.。

On the side he had been was similar environment to the other, there’s a lot of trees and weed both. Why he wanted across the road ? What was necessity for him there? It is impossible that they have a free will. Although something mede him to do that is fact. What is it?

According to recent brain science、There is also such a thing as the will of us humans.、It's actually very uncertain、0.5 seconds before you are conscious of doing ○○, your brain has already made a decision.、It seems that the "will" is nothing more than an illusion of confirmation (one popular theory)。If you think about it that way, humans don't have anything as noble as will.、I guess it's no different than a caterpillar crossing the road.。

According to latest brain science, our human’s free will is doubtful actually. Our brain already decide everything before to be concious ourself less than 0.5 second. Our poor conciousness have an illusion that we identify ratification with our free will. So that means a catarpillar as same as human from the viewpoint of have not a will either.

The important thing here is "experience"。based on experience、a certain "feeling"。That is for living things、In other words, it seems to have an important meaning for us as well.。

An experience is important at end. The sense of sort that based on experiences, it looks important for every creature include of us.

Chenshunkai’12 exhibition has ended。Those who came to see it、Thank you very much。Those who could not come due to circumstances、I will do my best again next year, so please come and see me.。Personally, I will be exhibiting one large and small item at the Gochi Exhibition at Ginza 1-chome Seikodo Gallery from the 2nd of next month.。I would appreciate it if you could watch this too.。

Shin-syun-kai ’12 exibition was closed last Sunday. Thank you very much for your coming there. And then I’m going to present 2 works for “Gochi Exhibition” at Seikoudo gyarelly in Ginza 1 tyo-me next month. I will be happy for your coming there too.

For nearly 40 years, he has been presenting large-scale works in tempera and acrylic.、To be honest, I enjoy watercolors more these days.、interesting。Watercolor painting was difficult when I was a child.、As a result of experiencing many setbacks、I finally moved away from watercolors.、How to deal with difficulties only recently? I feel like I'm starting to understand。Better than watercolor or acrylic for children、I think it would be best to have them paint an oil painting instead.、Dirty clothes or the classroom、Is it heavy or expensive?、Even now, the mental environment remains unchanged from the days of poverty.。High school with high deviation score、There is no sign that the mental climate of the university will change at all.。I guess it's because most people don't have a deep interest in art.。

I have been taking with tempera ,acrylc or oil to painting pictures for 40 years more. However, I have found able to enjoyed taking water colours than the other recently. Although I had retired from water colour painting since it was too difficult at my child days, I feel that I might get the way to handled various situation on water colour paintings. I think painting pictures with oil is easier for glowing artistic mind for children than the other. But most parents seem didn’t, because it must be dirty their cloth and room, heavy for them and expensive for parents etc. Besides most parents also wants to make their children to getting enter hi-level school is more important than the Arts for their children’s future.

I think watercolor painting is a little difficult for children.。I'm just suffering from the fact that I'm not good at it、I deeply sympathize with people who have ended up being turned away from the joy of drawing.。And、This time, I would like you to enjoy watercolor paintings thoroughly.、I sincerely think。

I feel painting water colours is difficult a little for most children. I feel undarstand deeply with the people who have misundersgtanded of their poor hand to painting pictures and then quit it at the end. So I hope they will enjoy heartly in this time .
