How to be a critical thinker

「Green apple and a book(unfinished)」 2021 tempera on canvas

The title means something like ``How can I become a person who thinks things through?''。Critical means "critical"、Japanese-like、Rather than feeling like I'm against it、"I don't trust people's words easily.、Don't take things for granted. Don't pander to others.、The nuance of "thinking for yourself" seems to be stronger.。In Europe and America、Apparently they are trained to do this since childhood.。

"Think for yourself"。That's obvious、Even Japan is doing it、I think so。But、The current situation is that it is difficult for people to get to the point where they can ``present in public'' what they have come up with.。If you announce it, there will be reactions.。Not all things are positive。Both the presenter and the critic deepen their thinking.、The “content” of what you think with your head will deepen.。that's why、Publishing is a very important process.。

It is difficult to give presentations in Japanese schools.。Even if there is、Biased only in a certain direction、I also hear that people tend to have only favorable opinions.。Under such circumstances, it takes a lot of courage to dare to express an opposing opinion or question.。Teacher too、Are they afraid that children who express opposing opinions will be isolated?、Gather it in the right place。It would probably take some strength on the part of the teacher to take it a few steps further.。For example, NHK's "thorough discussion" is always far from "thorough".、I always think that it's probably because a similar psychology works.。

refute your opponent、Those who were able to persuade、In other words, it doesn't necessarily mean that the person who wins the argument is right.、That doesn't mean it's a good opinion.。
