夢うつつに絵のことを考えている。
「色彩は迷路だ」という声がする。同時に数枚の絵がスルスルと目の前に現れて実例を示す。なるほどそうか。今度は色のない、素描のような絵だけが現れ、「でも、色があると楽しい」という。それもそうだ。
いつのまにか夢は終わり、現実（まだ横になったままだが）の作品のことに意識は移っている。夢の中の絵は記憶の中にはっきりと残っている。
