スケッチするひと
雨上がりの朝。悠然と油絵を描いていた。対象は水辺に垂れ下がる枝とその影。
一人で対象に向かう時、天才も凡人も頼れるのはおのれの感性のみという意味で、スケッチはあらゆる芸術の原点となりうる。対象との向き合い方が、自分との向き合い方なのかも知れない。
目を休めるには目をつぶることではなく、遠くの緑を見ることだと眼科医に聞いた。心を休めるのは一人内省することではなく、対象に自分を投げ出してしまう、動的な時間を持つことかも知れない。
