宮本常一（つねいち）著「忘れられた日本人」を三十数年ぶりに読みかえした。宮本常一は民俗学者で、柳田国男とはまた別の、人によっては「宮本民俗学」という言い方をする、「旅」をしながら研究資料を自分の足で掘り出していく独自の民俗学を開いた人である。
