日本の人口は年々縮小し、地方へ行くほどその幅は大きくなっているようです。祭りができるかどうかは、市町村が存続できるかどうかのバロメーターでもあるのかもしれません。広報を見ると当市も少しずつ人口が減少しているそうで、替わりに少しずつ外国人の方が増えてきていると感じます。もっとたくさん、いろんな国の人が住みやすい街になり、地方から国際性が育てばいいと思いますが、地域の閉鎖性を考えるとほぼ希望は持てません。
