やはり船はいい

南極観測船「宗谷」ブリッジから(お台場・船の科学館)

I feel like I saw the sea a little bit for the first time in a while.。When I went to Shimokita about half a month ago, I drove along the coastline.、I looked at the ocean every day, but it never felt like it.。I didn't have the luxury of doing that because of my father's arachnoid condition.。I started to feel calmer so I decided to go sketching.。

The location was decided to be Tokyo, which also served as a preview for the upcoming sketch event.。The ship science museum will be closed at the end of this month with no plans to reopen, so this is the main thing.、I went out with the intention of sketching if time allowed.。

The photo is moored there、View from the bridge of the Antarctic research vessel "Soya" which is open to the public。Facing the front is the Fisheries Agency ship (Tokomaru)。What spreads out in the back is probably the waterway to Tokyo Port.。The opposite shore is packed with containers and container ships.。The lift for cargo handling is standing stiffly.。This kind of scenery probably isn't suitable for Soya, but I can't help it.。Thanks to this, I was able to actually see the ship that I remember seeing in books when I was a child (maybe it was just a memory from the images on TV).。

but、According to records, Soya was originally commissioned as a cargo ship by the former Soviet Union.、Because the ship entered service in 1938 as a private small cargo ship "Jiryo Maru" due to changes in the international situation.、In fact, perhaps it should be said that the landscape has returned to its original state.。

Jiryomaru soon became a special naval ship and was renamed ``Soya.''。Measurement、take on transport duties。After the war, a salvage ship、After being used as a lighthouse supply ship for the Japan Coast Guard、1956It was converted into an Antarctic research vessel in 2013.。Even at that point, it was already a pretty dilapidated ship.。The story behind it is interesting too.、When you actually look at this (really) small ship of about 2,700 tons at most,、This was sent off as the first international Antarctic research vessel.、I can't help but feel the strangeness and sadness of this country called Japan.。Although it was just after the war、Isn't it almost like a special attack team?。on the other hand、The members' sparkling curiosity and youth helped them overcome this problem.、I can still feel great empathy.。

Antarctic exploration only brings to mind the image of a frigid silver world.、Actually, we pass the equator on the way.、Apparently it was difficult to deal with the intense heat.。It is also because of the history that it was first built as a Soviet ice-ocean cargo ship.、It turns out that the ship was not designed with any consideration for the heat.。The sled puller who was brought along for the ride、A shaggy brown dog, etc.、I think I was able to get him to the South Pole without dying.。Taro、The real pain of Giro、I imagined that it was actually in the Indian Ocean rather than Antarctica.。

The ship has a beautiful shape, but、Its history also has an indescribably deep (human) flavor.。sinking、People are drawn to ships even after they are dismantled.、Maybe it's because there's a novel-like charm to it.。

Disaster prevention goods

Fueled by the disaster prevention boom、We also bought two cases of water at home.。2 liters x 6 bottles x 2 cases = 12 bottles = 24 liters。My wife said she would buy it, so I brought it in the car.。Calculate water consumption at 4 liters per person per day.。Minimum 3 days、According to the theory that you should stockpile for two weeks if possible,、There are 3 people in my family, so 3 people x 4 liters x 3 days = 36 liters is the minimum.。The rationale behind the half-baked amount is that it costs money and takes up space.。It's certainly better than nothing in case of emergency.、The evidence for both cases is extremely weak.。

She also bought several types of lights without my knowledge.。One of these days, a hand-cranked light that doesn't require batteries broke while I was trying it out.、After pressing the switch of a normal handheld light several times, it would no longer turn back on.。few days ago、When I went to an electronics store, there was a pile of small LED lights that were exactly the same type as the one I'm currently using.。Because it's exactly the same thing、I knew right away that they were defective products.、On the contrary, the price has almost doubled。Even the store may not know that it is a defective product.。It will turn on for now、There is also brightness。I can tell it's a defective product because the colors of the LED lights are separated.、People who have never used it probably won't understand.。The switch is also unusually hard, but it's not impossible to use.。but、Proper items are easy to use.。This is a matter of conscience of the manufacturer.、In the disaster prevention goods market of Dosakusa、Even products that should normally be discarded like this、It must be circulating to some extent.。They are taking advantage of the psychology of wanting to feel safe with disaster prevention goods.。

There is a magazine from the United States called National Geographic.。This is the geography of the world、From the climate、Biology (Ecology)、sometimes social issues、The theme is everything related to humans, the world, and the earth, including space and astronomy.。Each article is short, but the content is deep.。Take the documents from the computer、This is not the kind of mass media paper that you create on your desk.、The author actually walks the site、A magazine devoted to photography and fieldwork.。Almost all reporters are active academics and photographers active in their respective fields.、Many photographers have died for this magazine.、The power of the photo is exceptional。To the earth and human society、A real “exploration book”。

Among them, I am reading "Complete Survival Techniques to Survive Anywhere in the World" (2,400 yen), which was published on August 29th of this year (one week ago).。Preparation/knowledge for exploration and awareness/preparation for disaster prevention have many things in common.。like home、Read this before buying crappy disaster prevention goods、The awareness of “disaster prevention” itself will change.、Or rather、You will get hints on more core ways of thinking.。Rather than being forced to buy embarrassingly sloppy products using the earthquake disaster as a base.、I think this might have been a better disaster prevention item.。2011/9/4

Inside me jungle

F4 2011 mixed media man of shelter

The Noda administration of the Democratic Party is inaugurated.。Whoa! It was like that、I think that's pretty much it。Among them, Tsuyoshi Hosono, Minister in charge of nuclear power generation, was reappointed.。"No one wants to do this job.。(I also don't have the slightest desire to do anything.")。what、What about this statement? I guess it means they have no choice but to do it (reluctantly) because no one wants to do it, right? If you're trying to say that you're not really into the post.、There are too few words。Graduated from the Faculty of Law at Kyoto University、For a career that started as a research and consulting researcher at the current Mitsubishi UFJ Research Institute,、I think this statement is based on the political sense of a junior high school student.。Is there any awareness of the importance of interviewing members of the new cabinet? If you think about this country's politicians、I'm more horrified than appalled by the lack of political acumen in my own words.。It's scary to think what these people are talking about overseas.、Fortunately? Is it safe to say that most of them can hardly speak English?

The result of focusing on short-term matters such as politics, which have nothing to do with the lives of ordinary people.、The political nobility we created。They also don't care about common people.、I guess that's what you're thinking。If it's Oaiko、It's a very sad reality。In Libya and Syria, young people are risking their lives for new politics.、fighting to create their own politics。Even if we win, the road ahead will be tough.、The breath seems to be similar to the patriots of the end of the Edo period.。
