平凡なスケッチが、イマジネーションを加えることで生まれ変わりました。良くなったかはともかく、絵としての存在感はずっと強くなりました。イメージを練り直し、余分なところを切り捨てるとサイズは小さくなりますが、そのぶん絵が引き締まってくるようです。その感覚を鍛えるのにはリメイクがいいかも知れませんね。でもまずはそのための「失敗作」をたくさん作ることが必要ですね。

花は描くのには難しい素材だが、絵と言えば風景か花を連想するほど “王道” のモチーフだ。「雪月花」と言えば日本画の三大画題ということになっているが、雪も月も風景だから、いわゆる “静物” としては花はダントツの格付けということになろうか。
ちなみに伝統的日本画において「人物画」は特別扱いで、「歴史画」の部類に含まれるようだ。この辺は近代以前のヨーロッパの考え方と似ているかも知れない。
「花は難しい画題」だと言ったが、花以外は簡単かと言えば、そんなことはまったくない。試しにジャガイモを1個描いてごらんと言われたら、泥んこを丸めたものと区別できるように描ける人は決して多くはないはずだ。蜜柑だって、黄色をぐるっと塗って黒い点をプチプチ打てばそれでいいというものじゃない。それは一つの記号、シンボルではあっても、絵ではない。
「絵ではない」と簡単に言ってしまったが、では「絵とは何なのか」ということになるが、それをここで言っても始まらない。anyway、簡単なものなど一つもない、と言いたいだけのこと。正確さとか、手間暇のことではない。それも大変には違いないが、根気さえあれば何とかなる（AIなら30秒だが）。
