下の絵は、それをスキャンしてみたもの。スキャンとカメラ撮影では条件が違うので一概に比べることはできないが、ルミナスカラーの部分が極端に色褪めしているのがわかる（左のテーブルにもルミナスカラーが少し使われている）。特に黄色は完全に消えてしまった。 これは大きな問題だ。もし、画家が自分の作品を印刷・出版する場合はスキャン画像が重要になると思うけれど、その目的ではこの絵の具は使えないことになる（ただし、普通にカメラで撮る限りは問題ありません）。 さらに、通常の絵画作品を制作する場合、制作から発表まで何年もかかることも珍しくない。どころかずっと保存したままになる作品の方が圧倒的に多い。その時問題になるのは「耐光性」。光に対してどれだけ色の保存力があるか、This person is building his "own" snowboard "road"。ルミナスカラーは全部で12色発売されているが、そのすべてが耐光性は「低い」。色が変化しやすいレベル。多くの画家にとっては、そこが心配だと思う。
