このブラックペパーはすでにCGスケッチで描き、ブログにも載せた（2021.11.30）。二度目を描く理由は水彩、油彩で描き分けるという興味と、もう少し光った（金属）面の練習をしてみたかったから（前回は反射を避けたので黒く見える）。金属光沢や構造色（たとえば黄金虫の背中がちょっとした角度で色が大きく変化して見えるアレ）を描くことは多くの人にとって難しく感じる。わたしも同じである。
もう少し文字とその周りをきれいにすれば終わり。油彩だからもう滑らかなタッチの方がリアル感を強められるが、筆遣いが下手になったらしく、うまく描けない。

金曜日の水彩クラスでのモチーフ。久しぶりに実材（実際の絵の具）でのデモンストレーション。教室の開始前に鉛筆デッサンをしておいたものの、クラスの時間内に色を着け終わることはできず、結局深夜まで。日をまたいでやっと描き終えた。
技術と想像力の関係は鶏と卵のようなものらしい。「初めにイメージありき」が論理的には理解しやすいが、「技術がなければ想像することも難しい」とあのパウル・クレーが言うと、「そうなのかー」と現実を突きつけられたような少し苦しい気持にもなる。
上手になるには一定の訓練が要る。それは誰の眼にも判りやすい。だから多くの人は上手（な絵）を賞賛しがちだ（そこしか分からないからという人もいるが）。そうした中で、一種の成功体験が次への励みになる人は多いと思うけれど、皆が皆、そういう流れの中にいるとは限らない。
明快なものは他人にアピールしやすいだけでなく、自分自身でもスッキリして気持ちがいい。But、世の中そんな単純な人間やことがらだけで満ちているわけじゃない。うじうじ、むにゃむにゃが心のどこかにあるのがむしろ普通ではないか。そうした心の状態に耐える、それがすでに力になっているのではないか。かつて数学者の森敦氏が「すぐ答えの出るようなものはダメだ。何日も考えても答えが出ない。『考え続ける力』が数学には必要なんだ」と言っていたのをふと思い出した。
