庭の枇杷がだいぶ色づいて来た。まだ少し酸っぱい感じと思ったが、鳥が来ているという。Well then、完熟か、と鳥に教えられた。
枇杷はいかにも南国を思わせる。それも晴天の。虫も寄り付かない元気の良さを、見る者にも配ってくれる。

今日は、埼玉県宮代町の東武動物公園にて、「動物をスケッチする」。朝は曇り空で、絶好のスケッチ日和だと思ったが、いかんせん晴れ男、やがてカンカン照りにしてしまつた。
人も動物もグッタリ。カバなど、水に潜ったきり浮かび上がらない。死んでいるのでは？と思うほど。unintentionally、アシカのショーなど観て、遊んでしまったが、アシカより、ショーを実演・訓練する若い職員たちの、大変さを微塵も感じさせないプロフェッショナルに拍手した。
