　そういうことが意識化されているという意味で、3点ともかなり高次元の作品だと、わたしは思っています。残念なことは、作品が高次元になればなるほど、一般の人から離れ、評価を失っていくのが現状です。いたるところで素晴らしい感性を示す日本人なのに、芸術などに関しての国民的な教養がそれに釣りあっていない、と日々感じています。Apparently, the questioner thinks that "the concrete result of sketching" brings fun.、個々の力ではどうすることもできません。

9月15日のこのブログ「素手」の項で、水彩のカボチャを描いて載せた。Actually、そのカボチャはちょっとネズミに齧られていたのである。描く数日前に農産物直売所で買ったものだったが、玄関床に転がして置いたら齧られたのだった。

齧られた部分は裏側になるように隠して描いたのだが、9月20日にもう1枚描いてみる気になってアトリエに持ち込んだら、なんとその部分が “修復” されているではないか！もちろんカボチャ自身の “自力” である。「カボチャは生きている」のである。怪我したあとのかさぶたのように、ちゃんと再生細胞が働いている。蔓から切り離され、どこからも栄養が来ないのだから、自ら蓄えた中から、エネルギーを使って修復したんですね。ちょっと感動してしまいました。

childhood、実家で犬を飼っていた。それがまだ子犬だったころ、急に表に飛び出してトラックのタイヤに巻き込まれたことがある。運よく轢かれはしなかったが、冬だったので車はタイヤチェーンを巻いていて、その端が子犬の眼と鼻の間を激しく打った。子犬は家に飛び込むなり、下駄箱の隅の暗がりに縮こまってしまった。
　餌の時間になっても出てこない。クーンと苦しそうに泣くだけで2日くらいはそのままで、獣医などいない田舎のわたしたちにはどうすることもできなかった。ようやく空腹に耐えかねて下駄箱から出てきた子犬の左目は真っ白に濁っていて、顔も腫れているように見えた。目薬くらいは差したかもしれないが、家族全員、失明は必至だと感じていた。However、日が経つにつれ、その目がだんだん澄んできて、普通にものが見えるようになった（と思う）。その生命力（回復力）に驚いたことをよく覚えている。回復まで２．3ヶ月かかったかもしれない。

自然の風物が好きなので、動物をテーマにした雑誌なり、YouTubeなりを見る機会がある（捕食の残酷さをいたずらに強調するものもあり、そういう作者の視点そのものに辟易することも少なくないが）。そこでいつも感じるのは、人間以外のあらゆる野生の動植物には「医者がいない」ということである。瀕死の重傷を負おうが、病気になろうが、自己の再生能力以外に頼れるものは何もない。医療の届かない人々はこういう“野生” に近い状況に置かれているということになる。医療や健康食品などの発達は大いに喜ばしいことだが、本当の元である、生命の力をわたしたちは食べているのだなあと、あらためて思うことだった。
