宇宙工学は、ある部分で最先端の部門でもあるし、見方によっては頭打ちの学問分野でもあるらしい。技術的な部分に関しては最先端の実験装置であり、学問的には基本的に古典的なニュートン力学の範囲に収まるからかな、と勝手に解釈している。

「叫ぶ男」（2008）からわずか３年で、地を這っていた男がいきなり宇宙へ行ったような絵だと思うだろう。surely。But、恐竜が滅んだ原因の一つの説として、巨大隕石が地球に衝突して出来た衝撃とその後の気候変動があげられているように、宇宙と恐竜はつながっている。そのように原始的・野性的な「這う男」と科学技術の粋「宇宙飛行士」は私の中では全然矛盾せずに重なり合っている。I know that I can only do what I can't do, but I'm frustrated、むしろ同一視していると言ってよい。

昨年の「新生　№５」は両生類を思わせる胴長人体？だった。これも両生類→爬虫類→哺乳類→男？と私の中では→より、むしろ＝のようにつながっている。どういう理屈でつながっているというのだ！と憤る人がいるかもしれない。たとえばこれらの動物は皆、地球の重力の影響を受けている。同じ時間をかけて進化し、体の構成元素もほぼ同じもので、その割合も驚くほど近い。感覚や神経だってそう大差無いだろう。つまり十分すぎるほどに共通項は大きい。どころか、違いなんてほんのちょっとだ、と私は感じているわけです。

光速より速いものが無い以上、タイムマシンで過去への旅行はできない。一方で私達はたとえば化石の中から恐竜のDNAを取り出せるところまで来ている。つまり、科学技術が一種のタイムマシンになったことになる。それは過去と現在を同じ次元に並べてみたい、という想像力の結果に違いない。時間や重力から想像力をほんの少し解放してみたいと思う。 2011/6/18

青森県下北半島、東通村の砂子又（すなごまた）にヒバの埋没林（重要天然記念物）がある。埋没林とは数百年前の超巨大地震、大津波によって、一瞬にしてヒバの大森林が立ったまま砂の中に埋もれてしまったものだと説明されている。それが小さな水の流れで少しずつ、少しずつ砂が浸食され、埋もれた大森林がかつての姿を徐々に現わしてきたものだ。大きなヒバの木は現在生えているエゾクロマツの木よりはるかに太く、樹齢は百年を優に超えるという。その木は今もヒバ独特の芳香を放ち、現在立っているヒバの木と見分けがつかないほど新鮮だ。生きているといっても大抵の人は信じるだろう。I know that I can only do what I can't do, but I'm frustrated、本当はかすかに生きているのかも知れない。

つい先ごろ、私達はテレビで真っ黒な水が家々を呑み込む巨大津波を見た。黒い色は海底のヘドロの砂だ。あの数十倍、数百倍の大量の砂が海の底から噴き上がり、一気に森を覆い尽くしてしまった。そんな巨大津波が、下北半島にもあったと埋没林は教えている。（下北半島には日本最大の砂丘がある（鳥取砂丘の数倍はあるらしい）。Apparently, the questioner thinks that "the concrete result of sketching" brings fun.、下北半島国定公園内にありながら観光に利用されることもなく、防衛庁の実弾射撃試験場に使用されて巷に知られることもなく、ただ砲弾の破片を撒き散らすだけになっている。）

倒れた鉄塔が、恐竜の骨に見えた。歩きながら化石化する、化石化しながら現代に姿を現わしてくる。恐竜時代だろうと現代だろうと相対論的には全く繋がっているらしいから、私の骨に対する嗜好は決して過去的なものでもなさそうだ。秩父・小鹿野町から群馬県・神流（かんな）村？につながる志賀坂峠には恐竜の足跡化石がある。ぬかるんだ泥地を恐竜が歩いた足跡が、その後の地殻変動を経て、垂直な崖になっているのを見ることができる。私達の時代の化石は、今現在そのままの姿で見えている。　　　　2011/6/16

Because there are people who say that、Maybe it'll be a mass of nearly 50 people。

But、Walking around in a sloppy way、Columns everywhere、Because it's fine to do at your own pace、It's fine if 100 people attended。The number of participants、I don't even know the faces at all。Leave it to the day。It's not a planned trip organized by a travel agency.、That's fine。There's a risk of getting a little swayed、Maybe it's better to have that much。Sketch in an unknown place until it gets dark、I don't know how to go back to the hotel、There are no one passing by、Sometimes I started to feel anxious about what to do。Surrounded by horses grazing in the snow、Sometimes I felt that it would be a bit bad if I was kicked off here.。Such a small, extraordinary experience、I think it's a memorable journey later on,。　　　　2011/6/16
