既に何度か書いたが、大学での生涯学習講座終了に伴い、教室からすべて撤去するために、まずは絵の整理をしている。残したい絵がある一方で、残しておきたくない絵も少なからずある。
I’ve been sorting my paintings out for one month. It’s a preparation to remove it all until the lastday of our painting course of College longlife leaning center. There are some works I want to keep or not.
残したい絵は、やはりオリジナルのイメージ、スタイル、技術がその内容になっているもの、あるいはそこへつながるプロセスになっているもの。当然と言えば当然だが、それが私の芸術観なのだと再確認した。

この絵は今から20年以上前に描かれている。人間のように、雲も上に浮かんでいるばかりでは疲れてしまうだろう。たまには地上で休み、元気回復してからまた空へ昇って行けばいいじゃないか、というイメージだ。雲のシリーズは10年ほど続いた。甘い絵だが、今でもそれなりに自分自身には訴えてくるものはある。
